About me

Hello and Welcome! You might find the start of this profile slightly different - it’s not about me; it’s about your journey...

I understand the challenge of finding the right connection with a counsellor amidst the multitude of choices.

I can only speak from firsthand experience; finding the right counsellor is crucial. So please, take your time and go with how it feels for you.

Life’s challenges can be intricate and I recognise that discussing troubling issues isn’t always easy. However, talking to someone outside your immediate circle provides a judgment-free space for you to openly share your thoughts and feelings at your own pace and depth.

Let’s be honest; life’s journey isn’t always straightforward. You might feel emotionally and physically drained, confused, numb, lonely, vulnerable, angry or overwhelmed. It’s okay not to feel right without knowing why. Whether facing a crisis, loss, lingering memories, low self-esteem or an unexplained unease.

Getting Started:

As a qualified therapist, I support individuals with a wide range of challenges, such as; anxiety, grief, loss, depression, stress, low self-esteem, mum guilt, menopause related issues and the feeling of being stuck in life.

I practice integrative counselling with a humanistic touch. This means that within my practice, I draw upon various therapeutic approaches, allowing me to tailor counselling to suit your unique needs.

You can contact me via email, I will email you back so we can arrange a suitable time for a 15 minute “chemistry call“. This is not a counselling session but a chance for you to ask any questions to help you decide if my approach to counselling is right for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified counsellor and proud to be a Registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

  • CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
  • CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies
  • CPCAB Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
