Sally Evans CTA, UKCP Reg Psychotherapist. Supervisor. Working Online & Offline
I am an experienced and qualified psychotherapist and trained supervisor and have been in private practice since 1998 working with both individuals and couples. I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and am bound by their Code of Ethics and Complaints Procedures.
Who comes to therapy? Well lots of people and they come for a wide variety of reasons. Some people come because they are struggling with issues from their past which are holding them back from living a happy and satisfying life in the present. Others come for more present day reasons like the break up of a significant relationship, relationship difficulties, the death of a loved one, feeling depressed, stressed or struggling with anxiety or work-place matters. There are no "wrong" reasons to come to therapy.
Therapy I see as a confidential space and opportunity for you to talk, consider and understand what troubles you. In privacy and with support, you can explore and develop new possibilities of how you want to live, the life you want you live and the relationships you want to have.
I offer both short term (6 sessions) and longer term therapy and anything in between, you decide what suits you best.
I also offer therapy online via VSee, a free download software that allows for webcam conversations. Online therapy is an easy, accessible service well suited to those where travel maybe difficult or some distance or for those who simply want to have therapy from the comfort, safety and privacy of their own home. Payment is in advance of the session via PayPal or bank transfer.
My online practices are UK based only.

Post Graduate Certificate in Counselling Supervision
Certified Cyber Therapist
I have over 20 years experience of working with both young people and adults experiencing a wide variety of issues in statutory services, voluntary agencies and the private sector. Most of my experience has been gained working face-2-face.
I have vast experience of working with children, young people and adults via technology most notably online. I am a trained and qualified online practitioner and member of ACTO (Association of Counsellors and Therapists Online, membership number 240). Online therapy is a growing field and research has shown that it can be just as effective as the more traditional face-to-face method of gaining support. If your preference is to have your therapy from the privacy and safety of your home, then this is now possible. Please contact me if you would like to discuss this further.
I also provide clinical supervision for counsellors, psychotherapists and professionals working in the "caring professions". This can again be face 2 face or online via VSee, a freely downloadable programme similar to Skype. I am particularly experienced in supported those professionals who work young people together with counsellors and therapists who offer counselling and therapy online.
My online practices are UK based.

Other areas of counselling I deal with
I offer therapy to clients and supervision to practitioners' online. I am particularly experienced in working with those practitioners' working with Children and Young People and to those clients or supervisees who may live in remote or rural locations.
Coming to therapy can be scary and finding the "right" therapist can feel daunting. I offer a free 30 minutes introductory session where you can come and meet me, ask questions and see if I'm the right therapist. If I am, then the 30 minutes can be extended to the full 50 minutes, and for this I do charge. If I'm not, and we agree not to work together, there is no charge for the 30 minutes.
For individual sessions I charge £50. Sessions are weekly and each session lasts 50 minutes.
Concessions are available, please contact me to inquire about these.
For couples work I charge £60. Couple sessions are again weekly.
Payment is by either cash or cheque as I do not have credit card facilities.
For clinical supervision I charge £50 per 60 minutes.
I charge the same prices for online therapy and supervision. These sessions are paid for in advance by bank transfer.
I review my prices every April.
Please note: I do not have a waiting room so I would appreciate it if you would come for your session on time rather than arriving early. I will also be unable to answer the door if I am with a client.
I offer a LGBTQI friendly service.
I am committed to anti-discriminatory and equal opportunity practices and see this as integral to the way I work.
As a registered psychotherapist I am bound by the Ethical Code of the UKCP and their Complaints Procedures
