Supervision details
I am a trained and qualified clinical supervisor with a Post Graduate Certificate in Couselling Supervision gained from Chester University and have many years experience of supervising counsellors, therapists and those professionals working in the caring professions. I supervise practitioners' working in a wide range of settings with a wide range of clients. I am a approved clinical supervisor for Barnardos, 42d Street (Young People's Mental Health Agency), Leeds Beckett and Manchester Universities where I supervise trainee counsellors and those counsellors on placements. I am particularly experienced in providing clinical supervision though to those professionals working with vulnerable and troubled children and young people. Through my experience of working in educational, residential and community settings, I have a level of informed knowledge of the daily life of working with these vulnerable youths. I also know and appreciate some of the challenges of working with this particular client group. I believe the supervisory relationship based on mutuality, collegial support and challenge offers the best opportunity for good ethical practice. As we both, supervisor and supervisee bring our lives and experiences into the supervisory relationship we have collective and dynamic resources to draw upon to create a learning space where practice can be shared and discussed. Supervision can be either face-to-face or online via Zoom or Teams. I charge £65 for a 60 minute session I attend my own clinical supervision for both my therapy and supervision practices. Please contact me if you are interested in clinical supervision and we can arrange a no obligation introductory meeting.
