About me

My passion is to see my clients live free from past hurts, pains, and trauma and to experience a life full of purpose, passion, and destiny – one of Freedom.

I have experience helping my clients with anxiety, stress, anger, depression, sexual difficulties such as pornography and other addictive behaviour, unhealthy habits, suicidal thoughts, self-esteem challenges, relational difficulties, career difficulties, grief, trauma, and abuse.

I work mainly with an integrative approach, where I may explore my clients' past to understand their current presenting concerns, as often I find childhood experiences can affect current behaviours or presenting problems. I also work with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as I believe there is a direct link between our behaviour and the way we think. I try to integrate the two approaches to provide a helpful balance to help my clients both work through their presenting problems and equip them with tools to help manage future stressors.

I offer face-to-face, online, telephone, as well as email counselling.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a BA (Hons) in Counselling from Middlesex University, London and I am currently studying for a Master’s Degree in Therapeutic Counselling and Psychotherapy at Middlesex University, London. I hold a Diploma in Life Coaching from the Life Coaching Institute.

I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and the Association of Coaches (AC).

I have regular supervision sessions as part of my BACP Code of Conduct requirements.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

ACC
Association for Christian Counsellors (ACC)

The Association of Christian Counsellors and Linked Professions is a professional body representing and setting standards for Christian counselling and care in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.
