About me
Thanks for looking here. Trust and a good bond with each client I work with is really important to me. My clients range from the age of 18 years to later years, my belief being you're never too old for therapy, change can be achieved at any time. I can support you to make sense of your feelings perhaps around guilt or shame, or even about a situation you are unsure of and wondering how to move on in your life. I have my own personal experience of bereavement, trauma, depression and anxiety, so I understand.
If you're struggling to feel accepted in life with any of the above from anxiety to trauma, or relationship problems I can offer support.
I'm able to offer a face to face safe, non-judgmental, calm space for anyone struggling. Finding your real self and your purpose may be all you need.
Do you have an emotional difficulty that you are finding hard to come to terms with? Are you struggling in your relationship? Or maybe had enough of the relationship you are in? Have you suffered a bereavement and feel alone?
If you wish to confidentially think about changes you need in your life, I offer the opportunity to work alongside you short term or in depth to explore your needs fully, and support you in your journey. My role is to offer empathy, understanding, kindness and help you to simply cope with life, or towards changing it. Giving you the space and opportunity to feel heard. That feeling of being on your own can be very lonely, I am here to hear you, you're not alone.
Training, qualifications & experience
After 6 years of dedicated learning, I passed many exams with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. Since qualifying in 2022 I am now a fully registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. This brings with it a duty of care to ensure I work within their Ethical Framework. During my training I volunteered at Mid Kent MIND in Maidstone, I enjoyed it so much that I stayed for an extra year. Now I have my own practice and am enjoying every day with each client I support whether it be face to face or electronically or via phone.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Seeking therapy can be a rewarding feeling for my clients as taking that first step is uplifting after you have struggled to pluck up the courage to make that move towards change. This important time for you is now. Feeling safe, whilst you privately explore your thoughts in a clam place, may be the first step to achieving a much needed new confidence. Why leave it any longer?
