About me

A BIT ABOUT ME
Caring and Compassionate Therapy

Sometimes it can be really difficult to see a way forward or know where to turn. It can be really hard to open up to those around you. I would like to offer you a space where we can talk and explore these difficult emotions, in a safe and contained way. Feeling down, lonely or not knowing where to turn can carry a hugh toll, everyday. Talking about it can help. I will help support you in a non-judgemental way.

I Offer services in person in Oxford and online via Zoom, I provide integrative therapy services to adults. I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds, embracing and respecting individual differences such as race, ethnicity, culture, religion, gender, sexual orientation, and disability. There is free parking when you meet me at my practice in Cowley, OX4.

My primary goal is to establish a professional and warm atmosphere where you can freely express your thoughts, feelings and emotions, knowing that your confidentiality is respected and that you feel safe. Through our sessions, you can gain insight into yourself, your challenges, your life, and your relationships. We will work collaboratively to make positive changes that contribute to your overall well-being.

I work with people who experience all kinds of difficulties. Depression, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, relationship problems, grief, difficult childhood and work stresses are some of the areas that I work with.

I think the most important elements of my practice are hope and belief. The hope that things can change for you, for the better, and the belief that therapy can work. I am passionate about these beliefs and the work that we can achieve together.

I will offer you the time and space that you need to work through your issues. Life can often be uncertain and sometimes we need some help and support through these times. I will listen to you and try to help you find the solutions to make the changes you want in your life. I hold a professional membership with BACP and work to their Ethical Framework to give you the best level of counselling I can. If you would like a free consultation, please reach out to me. I will reply to you as quickly as I can.

To begin our journey together, I offer a complimentary 30-minute initial consultation online. This consultation provides an opportunity for us to meet, get acquainted, and determine if we are a good fit. There is no obligation to book appointments during this session. Instead, I aim to equip you with all the necessary information to consider before making a decision. If you choose to work with me or have any questions, you can feel free to reach out to me.

Thank you for reading my profile, I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
