About me

Hi I'm Tracey and as a qualified integrative counsellor, I can provide a wide variety of therapeutic insights and skills to help you find ways that empower you to move forward beyond difficult life circumstances.

My practice, Red Jasper counselling, (like the stone) is known for grounding, passion and protection.

The future does not have to be the same as the past.

I specialise in working with people who have experienced any form of childhood abuse and with clients who experience any type of mental health issues.

I aim to provide you with a safe space where you can be truly heard, accepted, and understood, so you can explore what matters most to you.

I have a passion for facilitating and helping clients find their way out of the numbing of emotions, emotional-turmoil, confusion, fear, pain, judgment, isolation and loss that childhood trauma and complex mental health illnesses can cause in adulthood. Together we can ignite your self-compassion, re-discover hope and empower you to live the best life you want to live, defined by your own terms.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have completed the level 4 counselling diploma in integrative counselling and also have a BA honors counselling degree. I am also a member of the BACP.

My background experience includes working for MIND on their crisis line, and as a volunteer counsellor.

I have also worked in the homelessness sector, gaining extensive experience of working with trauma, addictions and complex mental health issues.

I currently work as an EAP counsellor offering short-term therapy to assist employees with life circumstance changes and to better manage their work/life balance using various approaches to therapy.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
