About me

Who am I

Hi my name is Tina. I am a qualified counsellor and a regular human who experiences all of the emotions that come with it. I am down-to-earth and approachable and have lots of lived experience. As well as being a counsellor I am an addiction and mental health recovery worker. I am passionate about both roles and love helping people grow.

What you can expect from me

We all need help from time to time and whilst reaching out can be difficult, my aim is to give you a safe, and respectful space to share what is going on for you. I will listen to you without judgment and walk alongside you in your counselling journey, helping you to reconnect with your own values and sense of self-worth.

I believe that no one knows you better than you. I will support you to make sense of your feelings at your pace. Through training and self-care, I am able to bare the difficult and stressful things that happen to people in life such as trauma and abuse so nothing is off limits to bring to your sessions.

When I work

I offer sessions from Monday- Friday between 7 am-9 pm. If you have any questions give me a call for a brief chat. If I am unable to answer please leave a message and I will call you back. You can also contact me via e-mail.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
