About me

I welcome you to my Integrative Solution Focused (SF) world.

Early interventions in a visual narrative. You are your own expert.

You Matter.

I am a Registered Counsellor of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapists working with clients of all ages across Birmingham, London and the UK. I have a detailed understanding of the BACP Professional Conduct and the Ethical Framework. "The time I spend in therapy is totally dedicated to you, facilitating the process of self-identity".

As a counsellor, I offer 1:1 Therapy, delivering a future-orientated and goal-directed approach. I focus on the strengths and resources, integrating both positive psychology and mindful practices. “Helping you create change by building solutions through a preferred future”.

I deliver Early Prevention Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) doesn’t require a deep dive into your childhood and the ways in which your past has influenced your present. Instead, it will root your sessions in the present form while working towards a future.

I have gained extensive experience working with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Stress (work-related/non-work related), Abuse, Bereavement, Suicide and Self- Harm. My main strengths are the ability to empathise with you, whilst retaining an objective and realistic approach to treatment and therapy, specialising in both young people and adults.

I offer flexible remote/online counselling services enabling you to schedule sessions at a time and date that suits you. My aim is to provide you with a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space where you feel supported to open up and move forward in life. (Availability: AM - PM throughout the week, TELEPHONE on weekends)

Together we can collaboratively address your concerns, and begin the process of self-discovery, helping you to reach the desired goal solution.

Training, qualifications & experience

During my time as a qualified counsellor, I have obtained a great understanding of Mental Heath. Working with challenging clients has enabled me to learn new ways of adapting to individual needs, as well as offering a creative yet, imaginative world for those struggling with communication.

I have a great understanding of theoretical approaches such as Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Psychodynamic, specialising in both Integrative Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.

As a Counsellor, I will listen and support your story, helping you to understand yourself better. I am a firm believer in individuality and uniqueness. “You are your own individual of expression”. Introducing such energy into therapy has enhanced my ability to empathise with you, helping unlock potential journeys. After all, natural energy can be infectious and inspiring.

I am an individual filled with passion for what I do. The warmth and the kind approach allows me to connect with you in the most natural form. To help you, to assist you, and merely to guide you through the next steps of joy. “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment”.

Areas I have worked with and have experience in:

NHS and Emergency Services. Schools (Primary-Secondary-Sixth Formers). Charities (voluntary sector). Covid-19/Pandemic Crisis Support Services. Royal Navy, Civil Services and Royal Air Force. Bursary Funded Schemes in UK for Retail Trusts, Chartered Accounts, Bank Workers and License Trade as well as Staff Emergency Services for frontline workers.

Occupations: Hospital Staff Counsellor - School Counsellor - Private Counsellor.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
