About me

I have worked as a therapist for 40 years And have a person centred training, and am also trained in a Transpersonal therapy, Psychosynthesis. I work with adults, couples and families. For the last twenty years I have worked with young people with challenging behaviours, working with Wilderness Psychotherapy and the Four ShieldsI am the author of Holding The Space, a radical approach to working with trauma and abuse. This work has been researched by Strathclyde University, the department of residential childcare. There is also a film about his work on the C4EO website. My work is about transformation I work with Ceremony and the Creative Arts as therapy as well as your connection with nature.

I offer one to one work, family, couples and small group work. I also offer clinical supervision and consultation to professionals working with children and young people in care. I have trained with The School of Lost Borders in the Four Shields and with the Ojai Foundation in the Way of Council. I have completed twenty years of Shamanic Training which I use therapeutically to heal the soul and to strengthen the spirit.
I am 75 years of age and in love with life, I want you to be in love with life, come and see me.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have an Advanced Diploma in Person Centered Therapy. A diploma in Psychosynthesis and an MA in Creative Writing.
I worked for many years in Women's Refuges both in the UK and the USA, working with trauma and abuse.

I have been in private practice for 35 years specializing in serious mental health issues, trauma and abuse. For the last twenty years I have also worked with teenagers who present with challenging behaviors and with young people who are not engaging in life, school or any where there is a breakdown of communication. I work with families and with couples using Holding the Space and Wilderness Psychotherapy. I also use the creative arts and ceremony as therapeutic healing tools.

I offer clinical supervision, consultations and spiritual counselling. I am also a Five Element trained and accredited acupuncturist.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I work with Soul Retrieval and Soul Loss as well as the loss of connection with nature and the world. I do Shamanic healing sessions and create ceremonies to heal past wounds.

Fees

I charge £70 a session for therapy sessions and for clinical supervision.

For family work I charge £100 for one and a half hours.

For consultations I charge £150

I am also available to give talks to groups and I run workshops in The Four Shields and Holding Sacred Space. I also run a Women’s Moon Lodge and a men’s group. I teach the Seven Gates a Taoist journey of descent into the self and your connection with Tao.
