About me

Hi, and welcome to my profile.

If you are struggling with relationships, loss, stress, or feeling lost and overwhelmed, you might feel like you’re stuck, don’t know where to turn or how to move forward.

Sometimes we don’t know what to say, how to say it, or even fully understand what we are feeling; it’s often not just one thing that we are feeling but a complex mix of different emotions.

Our sessions together will give you the opportunity to be heard, to explore your emotions and try to unpick the difficulties you are having.

Counselling is a place where you have the chance to talk without judgment from others.

My approach aims to support you in feeling able to process difficult emotions, at your chosen pace, exploring what you feel you need and supporting you to feel confident in understanding yourself.

It’s not always easy to find the person you think will be the right fit for you as a counsellor. Hopefully, this profile gives you an idea of the type of person I am, what I can provide you as a counsellor and how we could work together.

If you would like to discuss the possibility of working together you can contact me via email, phone or text, and we can arrange a free 30 minute initial appointment. This appointment can be via telephone or face to face and will give us the opportunity to talk over any questions you might have around the counselling process and for us to decide if we would like to work together and confirm when that work can begin.

I respond to all enquiries as soon as possible, please check your junk mail if you request a response via email.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
