About me

I know how hard it can be to reach out and get help. At times an issue can seem to take over all of your inner world and seeing a way through can be tricky. It might be an issue such as:

  • anxiety and depression
  • loss
  • identity
  • relationships in turmoil
  • stress and overwhelm

Often it doesn't have a name, nor want one. It maybe a feeling that change is needed, but we just don't know how.

I can help. I offer integrative counselling, which means that I am flexible in my approach and trained in several schools of counselling and psychotherapy. Ultimately though, it will be your needs that decide how we work together. We will work out the therapeutic pace that suits you, and together find the steps you need to get where you want to go. Being fully NCS accredited, qualified and supervised means that I offer safe and confidential counselling with compassion and a non-judgemental attitude at the core of our work.  You'll get my true sense and presence in our work, as well as my academic experience and training.

I offer both long and short-term therapy depending on your needs. I also offer a free half-hour initial consultation, either online or by telephone. I'm based in Paignton in professional rooms with easy parking and transport links. Lastly, I'm experienced working with age ranges from adolescents to all adult age groups.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

Wheelchair user access
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

I ordinarily work from a lovely therapy room on the top floor, up three flights of stairs. However, if that could be an issue for you, please contact me as I can arrange a ground floor mobility friendly therapy room if you prefer.
