About me

Hi, I specialise in grief counselling and I have volunteered for many years at Camden Bereavement service. When your life feels empty and pointless, talking to someone who really listens and understands you, can help you move forward. Sometimes bereavement can be a link to other issues that might be worrying you.

  • You may be suffering from anxiety or depression.
  • You may be feeling lonely and disconnected from others.
  • You may be feeling stuck  in  a relationship.
  • You may be struggling with parenthood.
  • You may be suffering from imposter syndrome and a lack of self-confidence.

Whatever your issues, I am here to work with you to explore your problems and improve your emotional and mental wellbeing. I am warm, approachable and down-to-earth. I will listen carefully to you in a non-judgmental way. I won't give you advice but I will ask you the kinds of questions that will help you to untangle the complex issues that are holding you back or causing you pain. I will work together with you to explore your reasons for coming to therapy and  discuss with you how you might reach your desired outcome. It's not my style to sit in silence. I will be an active part of the process as you figure things out and make good decisions for yourself. I offer both long and short-term therapy, either via Zoom or in person. So if this all sounds like it might be helpful for you do email me or phone me and I will get back to you as soon as I can to arrange a mutually convenient time to see you either in person or on zoom.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
