Ruth Taylor (MBACP) - Amethyst Counselling

About me

Have you had a loss/bereavement and are you finding it hard dealing with it?  Do you feel anxious and don't know how to manage it? Do you feel that you are not good enough for work, family or friends? Or do you feel that things are just too much at the moment and you are exhausted from thinking and feeling?

Whatever is going on for you I am here to support, listen and focus on you and your needs, to look at the loss and it's meaning to you, to help you to sort out the tangle in your head/life, to gain control of your thoughts and your life and most of all to give you the time and breathing space, judgement free, that you deserve, to enable you to become the optimum you.

I am a skilled and experienced BACP registered counsellor and NLP Practitioner offering individual counselling alongside life coaching, IEMT (Integral Eye Movement Therapy) and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) to ensure you get the best, most appropriate support to empower you to achieve your goals.

You may well be finding it hard to find someone you’re able to open up to just from reading a few words online.  Why not get in touch for an informal chat so you feel at ease when choosing me to support you during this difficult time in your life.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
