Getting the right help

Therapy is very much about building a positive and trusting therapeutic relationship and helping clients to make positive changes. I will adapt the therapeutic approach to meet your unique and specific needs. I am here to support you in that process, and your therapeutic journey. I practice as an integrative Counsellor/ Therapist (by the way, those terms can be used interchangeably if your wondering and new to therapy), using different modalities, or types of therapy, in a collaborative process with my clients to best suit them and their needs. My base modality is person centred/ humanistic therapy. (Please see the link below if you want more information on this) I also practice other therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Training, qualifications & experience

My therapeutic practice:

I am a Professional Accredited PNCPS (Acc). member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapeutic Society (NCPS) . I have over twenty years experience working with adults, children and young people, undertaking therapeutic work. I have my own counselling private practice- Clayton Therapy, for which I advertise here. I also work one day a week as a primary school counsellor. Also, I previously volunteered as a counsellor for a charitable/ Community Interest Company (CIC), I was there for five years until recently.
