About me
As a clinical psychologist, I see clients with a range of disorders at all levels of severity but I have a strong background in neurodifference (autism and ADHD), neurocognitive (brain injury, functional disorders) and OCD/BDD/phobias and am an LGBTQ+ affirmative practitioner. In addition to treatment, I offer assessment and diagnosis.
Currently I am Chair of the Section of Sexualities for the British Psychological Society, a member of the Practice Guidelines Review Board, the Mental Capacity Advisory Group and WPATH. I am also on the General Medical Council's rosta of expert witnesses for fitness to practice tribunals.
Typically I see patients who have been through other treatments, which they may have found useful, but which haven't fully resolved their issues.
I am trained to use a number of approaches and I integrate these with my training as a psychologist to develop a psychological understanding (a formulation) which I test and adjust with my patient.
Training, qualifications & experience
I qualified in 2008 from University College London as a doctor in clinical psychology. I am Chair of the British Psychological Society (BPS) Section of Sexualities, a member of the BPS Practice Guideline Review board and the Mental Capacity Advisory Group and WPATH. I am also a listed expert witness for the General Medical Council and have been an expert witness in the civil and criminal courts since 2012.
Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Clinical psychologists are trained to work across the lifespan and across all mental health presentations. In addition, we have specialised skills in psychometric assessment (I.Q.) and diagnostics. In addition to my knowledge of psychology, I also have training in CBT, schema therapy, systemic family therapy, DBT and RO-DBT.
