Supervision details
I have been supervising clinical/counselling/forensic psychologists, counsellors, social workers and psychotherapists in the NHS and private sector since 2009. I have completed the British Psychological Society accreditation in supervision and have worked at consultant and department lead/head of therapy level in the NHS and private sector. I focus on the strengths of the supervisee and encourage a collaborative and reflective space in which adversity and challenge can be used as opportunities for personal and professional development.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
