About me
Hi, my name is Rebecca and I am an NCPS Accredited and BACP Integrative Counsellor.
I decided to become a counsellor because I wanted to devote the rest of my working life to making a difference. My own training and personal counselling has helped me to overcome issues in my own life and now I get to use that experience to help others. I work with adults, young adults and children and offer face to face, online and walk and talk therapy. I have experience of clients with anxiety and depression, relationship issues, trauma, childhood trauma, bereavement and loss, low self-esteem and would welcome listening to any other issue.
As well as private practice, I work for a charity with a special interest in nature-based therapy which combines the great outdoors with talking therapy. Because I am able to work online, I can see clients from all around the country, but if it is a more personal therapeutic relationship that you require, then I have therapy rooms in Ashingdon and Southend or can arrange to meet in one of the many outdoor spaces around South East Essex for walk and talk therapy - nature has a wonderful way of calming and inspiring us.
People seek counselling for different reasons. Some because of a sudden life event that has left them feeling misplaced such as a bereavement or a divorce, some to confront past trauma and some to address day to day issues such as anxiety or low self-esteem. Whatever has led you here has brought you a step closer to finding closure or improving your day to day life.
