About me

Maybe you are feeling overwhelmed? You have tried your hardest to cope but feel like it is all too much? Or maybe you just want someone to talk to before it gets to that point? Together we can find a way through, to arrive at a place of increased psychological health and well-being.

I am a warm, passionate, and trauma-informed Counsellor/Psychotherapist who offers a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space to explore behavious, thoughts, feelings to gain insight into how your past may have impacted the present. I work integratively, meaning that I draw on humanistic philosophies and practices, but also include some psychoeducation, CBT, parts work and mindfulness techniques. Whatever works best for you and your circumstances, together we can decide on a plan and periodically discuss progress, needs and goals as they develop. I work relationally, so building a strong, safe and supportive therapeutic relationship will be crucial, as evidence suggests it is the most important factor for positive change to occur. We can work both short-term and long-term, depending on your needs, either face to face or online.

I have a wealth of experience working with anxiety, depression, grief, stress management, neurodiversity, relationship issues, self-esteem, life transitions, and personal development. Academically, I have qualitatively researched the impact of Type 1 Diabetes on parents and am currently researching Rejection Sensitivity in adult females with ADHD. Whether you're facing specific issues or seeking personal growth, I am here to walk with you through your journey.

Remember, seeking support is a courageous step towards a healthier, more fulfilling life. Together, we can explore your challenges, build resilience, and create positive change. I look forward to supporting you on your path to personal growth and well-being.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
