About me

I  offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental relationship where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. I work with adults and young people, providing counselling that is person-centred, trauma-informed, and tailored to your unique needs.

I believe that every person has the capacity for growth and healing when they feel heard, understood, and accepted. My role is to work alongside you, helping you make sense of life's challenges, develop greater self-awareness, and move towards the changes that matter to you.

Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, stress, loss, low self-esteem, trauma, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I offer a calm and compassionate setting where you can talk openly without fear of judgement.

My trauma-focussed approach recognises the impact that difficult or overwhelming experiences can have on emotional wellbeing. Together, we will work to support you, building trust and focusing on your strengths while respecting your individual experiences.

I welcome clients from all backgrounds and aim to provide an inclusive, respectful service where you can feel comfortable being yourself. Whatever brings you to counselling, I am here to support you in finding your own way forward.

I work with adults and young people aged 14+, in person, online via Zoom and on the phone. I am neurodiversity and LGBTQIA+ affirming. If you would like to work with me, please get in touch and I’ll always get back to you.

Client feedback:

"Nikki has a very open and comforting manner. She has enabled me to open up freely with no judgement which I’ve found essential for my progression through talking therapy. Every session I feel more confident in myself as she provides the best support, knowledge and guidance into my on going journey which I couldn’t do alone. Thank you Nikki."

"Nikki is warm, understanding and supportive. She provides manageable actions for moving forward in a positive direction. I felt calm and at ease speaking to Nikki which made opening up much easier. I would highly recommend Nikki to others looking for support."

"Nikki is a warm & safe space to express any and all of your worries and thoughts. She is patient, kind & very skilled in the ways she allows space for inner revelations & guides the way to self inquiry & awareness so well. She has been a potent part of my recent life transition & I'd highly recommend her to anyone in need of healing & compassion."

"I am very, very happy that I started sessions with Nikki after a traumatic situation in my life. She is an amazing listener, respectful and has a very calm and gentle vibe that makes me feel heard and safe."

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
