About me

Life can be challenging and overwhelming at times, and we all carry hidden burdens that can weigh us down. It's important to recognize when something doesn't feel right and to confront those difficulties head-on. Don't be afraid to seek the help and support you need to overcome any obstacle. Remember, you are capable of getting through anything, and you are not alone.

Counselling can be confusing due to the different approaches available. It is essential to find a counsellor who accepts you without judgment. The most crucial aspect of therapy is the relationship between you and your therapist. If you feel heard, understood, and respected, you're more likely to benefit from the sessions.

In my practice, I provide a secure, non-judgmental, professional, and confidential environment where you can freely discuss anything that's on your mind. By doing so, we can both gain insight into what's happening and why. This process can enhance your self-awareness, leading to improved self-esteem and empathy. With this understanding, you can take the necessary steps to address any issues causing discomfort.

I understand the importance of effective communication, especially when it comes to individuals from different cultural backgrounds. I am well-versed in English, Urdu, and Punjabi and have a deep appreciation for the richness and diversity of cultures worldwide. When working with my clients, I make it my priority to listen attentively and with empathy, without passing judgment or criticism. My foremost objective is to create a secure and welcoming environment where clients can feel safe to share their thoughts and feelings without fear of discrimination or prejudice. I am committed to treating every client with the utmost respect and understanding, regardless of their cultural, gender, racial, disability, or religious identity.

I provide a free initial 20-minute phone session or video call to discuss the issues you'd like to explore.  I understand that taking this first step can be challenging, so if you have any questions about therapy, please don't hesitate to email me – I'll get back to you within 24 hours. If you decide to start therapy. We'll collaborate on what to focus on and how to work on it over our sessions. I facilitated my clients  to overcome a range of issues such as,

  • Anxiety/Depression
  • Self-worth
  • Performance anxiety
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Family and couple issues
  • Panic disorder
  • Trauma

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
