About me

Welcome to my profile! I'm known as Nita, a Therapeutic Person-Centred Counsellor with over 30 years of experience working with vulnerable adults. I provide warm, empathic, and non-judgmental counselling to help you find the support and safe space you need to process your emotions and thoughts.

My approach is grounded in humanistic and person-centred therapy, but I also utilise other tools when appropriate to meet your specific needs. Through my work, I've assisted clients dealing with various challenges, including childhood trauma, domestic abuse, bereavement, anxiety, stress, depression, addiction, relationship issues, low self-worth, and more.

I believe in collaboration and guiding you to regain resilience, balance, and overall wellbeing. My mission is to help you enhance self-awareness, strengthen resilience, gain clarity on problems, and move forward with empowerment.

You can expect a safe, professional, and confidential counselling experience through face-to-face, online, or telephone sessions. As a Registered member of The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), I adhere to its ethical framework, placing your wellbeing at the forefront.

If you're seeking support or have any questions, feel free to contact me via the provided telephone number or email, and I'll aim to get back to you within 24 hours. Let's work together to transform challenges into opportunities for personal growth and positive change.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
