About me
If you are reading this, you may be at an important threshold. Old ways of being — within yourself or in your relationship — are no longer serving you, and you may be wondering whether another way is possible.
I am a Psychotherapist and Couples Therapist working with adult individuals and couples. My work focuses on attachment, emotional safety, and the patterns of connection and disconnection that shape our closest relationships.
Many couples I work with care deeply about one another but find themselves stuck in repeating cycles of conflict, distance, or misunderstanding. Despite goodwill and effort, the same moments escalate or shut down, leaving both partners feeling worn down, unheard, or alone.
Using Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), we slow these moments down and gently explore what is happening beneath the surface. Over time, this helps partners recognise and interrupt negative interaction cycles, rebuild trust, and create new experiences of emotional connection and security.
Alongside couples work, I also offer individual psychotherapy for adults who feel overwhelmed, worn down, or caught in internal patterns that no longer feel sustainable. My individual work draws on Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy and depth-oriented approaches, supporting greater steadiness, self-awareness, and resilience.
Over time, my practice has increasingly centred on couples work, while I continue to offer individual psychotherapy.
How I Work
My approach is grounded in attachment theory, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Psychosynthesis and Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB).
I pay close attention to what happens in moments of escalation, withdrawal, or shutdown — the points where familiar patterns take over and distress intensifies.
Rather than focusing on blame or surface content, we work with patterns and emotional processes as they unfold. By slowing things down and becoming curious about what sits beneath reactivity, new experiences of safety and connection can begin to develop.
I work at a pace that is careful and containing, particularly where there has been trauma, long-term stress, or emotional intensity.
Working With Couples
Using Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), I work with couples who care deeply about one another but feel caught in repeating cycles of conflict, distance, or misunderstanding. The difficulty is rarely a lack of love — it is the pattern that hijacks connection under stress.
In our work together, we slow these moments right down. We explore what sits beneath the escalation or withdrawal — often fear, longing, or the need to matter — and practise responding differently in the moment.
Over time, negative cycles can soften. Emotional safety can grow. Trust can be rebuilt.
I offer a free 20-minute online consultation for couples considering working together.
Working With Individuals
I also offer individual psychotherapy for adults who feel overwhelmed, worn down, or caught in internal patterns that no longer feel sustainable.
My individual work is grounded in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and depth psychotherapy. Together, we pay attention — tenderly and without judgement — to the different parts of you that may have been carrying pressure, anxiety, grief, or relational pain.
Over time, this work can support greater steadiness, self-awareness, and resilience.
Specialist Background in Neurodiversity and Communication
Alongside psychotherapy, I am an HCPC-registered speech and language therapist with over 21 years’ experience working with neurodivergent individuals and families.
I have specialist experience in autism, ADHD, developmental language disorder (DLD), and stammering. This neuro-affirming background informs my sensitivity to differences in processing, regulation, and communication within both individuals and couples.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
