About me

🌟 Welcome to a transformative journey of healing! 🌟

Hello, I'm Monica, and I am not just a psychotherapist; I am your dedicated companion on the path to healing and resilience. With a profound passion for unravelling the complexities of trauma, I have devoted my career to helping individuals not just survive but thrive after facing life's most challenging experiences.

🌈 Beyond Survival, Towards Thriving:

In my therapeutic practice, I go beyond merely addressing the surface wounds of trauma. Instead, I delve deep into the intricate layers of your experiences, helping you reframe and reconstruct the narrative of your life. My approach is rooted in fostering sustainable, long-term results that empower you to not only cope but flourish in the face of adversity.

🔗 Holistic Connection: Mind, Body, and Soul:

I firmly believe in the interconnectedness of mind, body, and soul. My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based modalities, neuroscience, and somatic techniques to address trauma at its core. By acknowledging the profound impact trauma has on both mental and physical well-being, I guide you towards holistic healing, ensuring that the transformation is comprehensive and enduring.

🎤 Your Story, Your Strength:

I recognize the uniqueness of everyone’s journey. Your story is not just a collection of painful memories; it's a testament to your resilience and strength. Together, we navigate through the intricate tapestry of your experiences, fostering a safe and non-judgmental space where healing can unfold organically.

💡 Empowerment Through Awareness:

Beyond traditional therapeutic methods, I am committed to cultivating awareness and empowerment. I equip you with practical tools and coping strategies, empowering you to take charge of your healing journey. By fostering self-awareness and resilience, we pave the way for sustained transformation.

🌱 A Collaborative Journey:

Healing is a collaborative effort, and I am honoured to walk alongside you on this path. Our therapeutic relationship is built on trust, respect, and empathy. Together, we navigate the intricacies of your trauma, forging a path towards lasting recovery and a renewed sense of self.

Embark on this transformative journey with me, and let's sculpt a future where your resilience is not just a response to trauma but a testament to the incredible strength within you. Your healing is not a destination; it's a continuous, evolving process – let's embrace it together. 🌺

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

Well done for taking the first step into your healing journey.

It's not easy to meet someone who is a stranger to you, despite being a trained professional you're expected to be vulnerable and open about the deepest struggles and secrets you hold and probably never told anyone.

Maybe because it helped you survive! Maybe you're ashamed or feel guilty.

If you need a safe, confidential and welcoming space where we'll combine different methods and approaches to individualize the right option for you... then reach out.

I believe in working together to help you to strive.  💜
