About me
Qualified Bilingual Psychodynamic Counsellor
Based in Hertfordshire, I offer both in-person sessions locally and online sessions nationwide. My approach is grounded in creating a private and confidential space where you can feel safe and supported.
I provide a dedicated time and space for you to share your innermost feelings and challenges. In a non-judgmental and supportive environment, you can begin to unravel and make sense of your thoughts and emotions. My motivation is to help you develop emotional clarity, understanding of why you feel what you feel, how your feelings influence your behaviours and how this process creates the results in your life.
Areas of Expertise
I have extensive experience in helping clients navigate a variety of issues, including:
• Depression: Strategies for understanding and managing depression’s impact on daily life.
• Anxiety: Techniques for managing anxiety and reducing its impact on your life.
• Panic Attacks: Coping mechanisms and support for dealing with panic attacks.
• Confidence and Self-Esteem: Building self-confidence and improving self-esteem.
• Grief and Loss: Compassionate support for processing the loss of loved ones.
• Loneliness, Isolation, and Feelings of Not Belonging: Helping those experiencing loneliness and isolation to find connection and a sense of belonging.
• Relationship Issues: Divorce, parenting challenges.
• Work-Related Stress: Managing stress, career transitions, and workplace challenges.
• Chronic Illness: Support for managing the emotional and practical impacts of major health issues.
• Trauma and Abuse: Safe space for healing from past trauma and abuse.
• Bullying and Trauma: Addressing the trauma caused by bullying and providing coping strategies.
• Life Transitions: Helping those who feel stuck to take actionable steps towards change.
Special Considerations for Spanish-Speaking Clients
Spanish-speaking clients often find it more comfortable to express their thoughts and feelings in their native language, leading to a more productive and effective therapeutic experience.
My professional journey as a therapist is significantly informed by my experiences as an expatriate. Throughout my life, I have navigated the complexities of cultural adaptation and the challenges associated with major relocations. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the emotional and psychological impacts of such transitions, including feelings of depression, cultural shock, and relationship dynamics within an intercultural context.
Commitment to Ethical Practice
I am a culturally sensitive and affirming counsellor, fully committed to a strict code of ethics in line with BACP. My practice is built on a foundation of respect, confidentiality, and empathy.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am dedicated to providing the best possible care for my clients, constantly improving my skills and knowledge through relevant courses and professional development. This commitment ensures that I can offer the most effective and up-to-date counselling services.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
