Having counselling can be hard and there may be times that you don't want to come because of the emotions that you might be feeling or you may be struggling to talk about the things that are upsetting or distressing you. I want you to know that I will be patient, respectful and will not apply any pressure to get you talk about things before you are ready to do so.
My aim is to provide a respectful private and confidential, supportive, environment where you’ll be listened to. I feel that in order for counselling to be successful we need to have developed a trusting relationship where you feel safe enough to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences when the time is right time for you. I feel it is important to let you know that sometimes things can feel worse before they feel better.
You may be feeling stressed or depressed panic attacks or full of anxiety and struggling to cope. You may be self harming, or having thoughts of suicide feeling isolated and alone. Or experiencing flashbacks, having difficulty sleeping or feeling numb or in shock. So many people do, you are not alone but this can feel overwhelming and deeply distressing.
Review
"I highly recommend Michelle's services. I have worked with Michelle during different periods in my life. She is a very skilled therapist. Her professsionalism is paired with warmth and empathy. She also has an amazing ability to take human complexity and interpret in a relatable and simplistic way"
How I Work
I believe the heart of counselling is the relationship we build together. When you feel truly heard, not judged and understood, it becomes easier to make sense of what’s going on and to find new ways forward. Our sessions will focus on your experiences of the world, and we’ll work side by side to help you reach the place you want to be.
I am a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor, CPCAB Trainer and Clinical Supervisor with 19 years of experience working with Adults, Children and Young people. I have been trained in different counselling modalities which means I can draw from a range of Therapeutic techniques that are personalised to each individual client to best meet your desired outcome.
Your First Session
Our first meeting is simply a conversation. You’ll have the chance to share what’s brought you here, and I’ll do my best to answer any questions. It’s also a time for you to decide whether I’m the right person to support you.
Who I Support
I offer both short and long-term, face-to-face counselling for adults, children, and young people. Or nationwide online for Adults and young people. Whatever stage of life you’re in, you don’t have to go through things alone—support is here when you’re ready.
My Aim
My role is to walk alongside you for as long as you need, supporting you to develop tools and insights you can carry into everyday life—so that, in time, counselling is no longer needed.
If you would like to make an appointment for an initial consultation I am contactable to answer any questions that you may have or you can head to my website and book your free no obligation free 25 minute appointment to see if we would be a good fit and answer any questions that you may have.
I look forward to hearing from you and hope to meet you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
