About me

I am a fully qualified  Integrative Counsellor and Trainer with over a decade of experience working with both adults and children and draw from a range of Therapeutic techniques that are personalised to each individual client.

Counselling can help you understand difficulties and confusing emotions that may feel overwhelming or are causing you concern so that you are able to choose how best to deal with them.

I believe the relationship between clients and myself are very important and Counselling works best when you feel supported, heard and not judged enabling you to have the opportunity to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours in a safe environment.  Working together at your pace exploring your unique experience of the world.  My aim is to support you and to enable you to move to a place where counselling is no longer required and giving you the tools to take with you when the counselling space is no longer needed.

The first appointment is an initial consultation where you will be given the opportunity to discuss your current situation and I will do my best to answer any questions you may have. You will then be able to decide if you wish to continue or you may have felt the initial assessment was sufficient.

I offer short and long term face to face counselling and I realize the first step to contacting a Counsellor can feel daunting. I will be respectful and trust that you are able to decide if I am the Counsellor to best support you.

If you would like to make an appointment for an initial consultation I am contactable by telephone and or email.  I look forward to hearing from you and hope to meet you.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.
