About me

I offer a flexible, individualised approach to sessions. As both a trained counsellor and coach, I can adapt how we work dpending on what you need, whilst being clear about the type of support you are receiving.

Counselling focuses on understanding and working with your experiences, including emotional, relational and nervous system patterns, at a pace that feels right for you. It focuses on helping you understand what may be shaping your experience.

Coaching supports movement, decision-making, and practical change, often using clearer goals and structure. This can help you move forward in ways that feel possible and sustainable.

Training, qualifications & experience

Qualifications:

MSc in Autism and Related Neurodevelopmental Conditions

BA (Hons) Degree Person-Centred Counselling
Certificate in Clinical Supervision

PG Certificate in ADHD and Neurodevlopmental Conditions

SVQ3 Social Services Children and Young People

My approach is grounded in neurodivergent-affirming and trauma-informed practice. Many of the people I work with have spent years feeling misunderstood or trying to make sense of experiences that were never fully recognised. This work offers space to explore these experiences with curiosity and respect - developing understanding and finding ways of living that honour individual needs, identities and values.

My work grew from both professional training and lived experience. I am part of an intergenerational neurodivergent family and live as an AuDHD adult myself - experiences that led me to deepen my research through an MSc in Autism and Related Neurodevelopmental Conditions and to develop CPD resources supporting neurodivergent-affirming practice.

The Neurodivergent Counsellor was created to offer spaces where individuals, families, and professionals can explore neurodivergence with curiosity, understanding and respect for individual differences.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Viewing experience through a neurodivergent affirming lens

Our work may involve exploring identity, making sense of past experiences, understanding burnout or overwhelm, and finding ways to support wellbeing within individual lives, relationships or family systems.

Sessios can include reflection, discussion, thinking time, practical strategies, and psychoeducation. Therapy is collaborative and flexible, you dont need to arrive with clear goals or knowing what to say. Communication differences, sensory needs and processing time are always respected.

You are welcome exactly as you are.
