About me

Hello, I understand that life can be difficult and there may be times when you could benefit from talking to an approachable counsellor. Collaboratively we can explore challenges or issues that you are facing and work towards empowerment for change.

I am a qualified integrative counsellor who is committed to offering you a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space to allow you to explore your thoughts and feelings. I draw upon different approaches which will be personalised to suit you. As every client is unique my approach is based on your needs.  I work from a comfortable counselling room in a business centre that has plenty of free car parking and is on a main bus route. I offer day, evening and Saturday morning appointments.

I have extensive experience working with clients struggling with anxiety and low mood, my aim is to support clients to gain positive results in overcoming anxiety, low mood and life stage issues through the use of talking therapies.

I specialise in neurodiversity (ASD/ADHD) and offer a therapeutic space for children, young people and adults to develop self-awareness and coping strategies.  My work involves understanding the presented behaviours which will then enable changes.  The improvement of emotional literacy will enhance relationships, friendships and wellbeing. To enrich the sessions, I use play and creative resources, if relevant, to allow exploration of experiences and emotions.

I work with adults, young people and children, in person, online or by phone. Long-term and short-term sessions are provided. I offer a free optional 20-minute introduction / getting to know each other by phone.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
