About me

Hello and welcome to my profile. I am a fully qualified Counsellor who is offering face to face therapy sessions in my garden lodge situated near a nature reserve in Andover. Along side this I also offer zoom and telephone sessions.
I am aware that beginning therapy could be a daunting process and you may have apprehension to choose someone who you will be able to trust and share your thoughts, feelings and life challenges.

Perhaps you are visiting this website with a hope to find someone who could listen to you effectively and in the way that you will feel heard, listened and respected.
I truly believe that one of the most sincere forms of respect is actually listening to what another person has to say with the attention to that person's feelings, thoughts and life experiences. Perhaps you have struggled in the past or you are struggling with at the moment, maybe you feel you haven’t been able to live your life as you would have liked, free of judgement and accepted for who you are?

In addition you might be looking for someone who will be by your side to enable you to feel comfortable exploring your life in a non- judgemental and safe environment and supporting you to look at any aspects of yourself which may be preventing you to find your full potential and happiness?

I have worked successfully with many clients who have a range of different needs; this includes, but is not limited to, relationships difficulties, loss, and bereavement. I have also successfully aided clients in exploring their childhood trauma and how that has affected them in their adult lives, in particular, suffering with anxiety and/or depression.

Throughout my professional experience I noticed the importance of the relational aspect of therapy alongside autonomy and understanding. These together play a significant role to a positive outcome of therapy. I believe that every person is unique within their experiences so as an integrative counsellor which mainly works in a psychodynamic way I am able to tailor the therapy to your needs with a variety of psychological theories.

How I work.

I am passionate about what I do and feel strongly that although therapy can be emotionally challenging at times, it can also be inspiring and a life changing experience. I want to reassure you that whatever is troubling you, counselling therapy can help you to understand yourself better by developing self-awareness, self - understanding and confidence along coping strategies.

I am able to offer an initial 20 min telephone consultation free of charge and in this session we will explore:

  • What brings you to therapy?
  • Have you had any past experience of counselling or psychotherapy, and if so, how did you find it?
  • What is it you want to get out of the experience?

We can decide whether we can work together on a short or long term basis, but most importantly, this session will allow you to get the sense of whether I would be the right therapist for you and also able to get a feel how I work, prior to making any financial commitment.  If you are unsure whether or not to continue with therapy, you are under no obligation to continue beyond the initial appointment.

I really hope my profile has encouraged you to begin your therapy journey and I very much look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
