About me
I am a Mid Sussex and Hove based Integrative counsellor and work from comfortable, welcoming rooms. I can meet you online and by phone as well.
You might be feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed or confused about aspects of your life around work, your neurotype, a loss or other life experiences.
Anxiety, Depression, feeling sad and stress might be holding you back to experience feelings of joy and contentment.
A lot of counsellors will use their therapeutic approach(es) for all their clients in a similar way whereas I specialise in individually designing my counselling approach to my clients unique wants and needs. I have availability at the moment due to expanding my practice and we can arrange to have an informal, free initial meeting to talk about things.
Training, qualifications & experience
Life can be very hard and relationships with ourselves and the people around us can be stressful and unsettling.
Having supported a wide range of clients, I believe that every person is unique and when in a safe environment can change and draw from strengths. This motivated me to become an Integrative Counsellor, which means I have a wide range of therapeutic approaches (ie mindfulness, CBT, etc) to design your therapy sessions to your preferences.
Prior to becoming a qualified counsellor I worked in corporate environments. My previous career, together with my counselling training and other life experiences informs this open minded, adaptable approach. I make sure I learn and keep up to date with new research, trends and societal changes.
I am a registered member with the BACP which means my diploma is certified and I adhere to a sound Ethical Professional Standard.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
