About me

Hello. I’m Lucinda and I invite you to get in touch. I offer a free 15 minute initial consultation by phone or zoom,  so that you are able to talk to me and ask any questions you may have.

About Counselling: There are times in life when we feel out of control, anxious, burdened by our thoughts & feelings. I offer a confidential space, listen, without bias, helping you find answers. I am non-judgemental, respectful and compassionate. I understand that finding the right counsellor can be difficult and believe the relationship we develop builds trust and safety so that we can explore and understand your challenges. We are all unique and working as an integrative therapist I tailor each session to suit you and your needs, my job is to help unravel the sometimes confusing thoughts and feelings you've been keeping bottled up.

Availability and price: I work from central Banbury on Wednesday afternoons and evenings offering face to face counselling at a cost of £65 for individuals or £85 for couples. To help with affordability, I offer sessions fortnightly (as well as weekly) . I also work online via phone or zoom on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at a cost of £55 for individuals and £75 for couples.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a diploma in therapeutic counselling, an MA in counselling and Psychotherapy, as well as a previous BA Hons and I am currently  a PhD research student.

I have an ACTO accredited qualification to offer online and telephone counselling and a NCS certificate in Couples Counselling. I am an accredited Member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy and abide by their ethical framework.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
