About me
"Believe in yourself. You are braver than you think, more talented than you know and capable of more than you imagine.' Roy. T. Bennett
I am a qualified person centred therapist with a focus in working with Children, Young People and Young Adults. Counselling sessions can be held in the your home or via walk and talk therapy; wherever you are most comfortable. The location of sessions can vary from week to week; I aim to be as flexible as possible!
I understand that the idea of having therapy can feel daunting and that trust plays a large part in allowing you to feel comfortable enough to share your innermost feelings. With this in mind, my sessions are always client led and taken at your pace. My goal is always to understand what life is like for you and the impact this may be having on you.
From our work together, I aim to help each you identify potential triggers and to develop coping mechanisms to help you understand what is going on and how to move forward.
I have valuable experience working specifically with young people in a variety of settings and with varying needs i.e. anxiety, depression, school refusing/exclusion, childhood trauma, sexual assault, bereavement, substance misuse. I have experience of working with neurodiverse young people both in the community and school setting.
Please get in touch if you have any questions!
