About me

I am a trauma-informed, fully qualified, Therapist. Registered with the British Association for counselling and psychotherapy (BACP). My practice involves assisting individuals in addressing a diverse array of challenges and the experiences that are intertwined with the life narratives of many individuals. These include issues such as depression, anxiety, abuse, trauma, post-traumatic stress, addiction, bereavement, loss, family issues, autism, ADHD, fostering personal growth, and aiding those who struggle with low self-esteem.

I work collaboratively with each individual client toward their desired goals to gain clarity, self-awareness, self-understanding, and self-confidence. All support a healthier relationship with self, which in turn supports healthier interpersonal relationships. I support clients to develop skills and access resources within themselves, promoting strategies and interventions for meeting both short- and long-term goals.

Offering a 50-minute session, currently via zoom or telephone, where we can explore whatever may be impacting you, all with my professional support and guidance.

If you would like to get started, please do reach out. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have regarding therapy together and we can discuss how you would like to move forward on your journey toward healing and recovery.

Training, qualifications & experience

I possess full qualifications as a Person-Centred Therapist with a Bachelor Honors (BA Hons) degree.

As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to their Ethical Framework to ensure my practice is sound and safe.

Currently, I work as a one-on-one therapist at Mind in West Essex, along with working in Private practice. I am also the founder at NomadicsTherapy.com.

From October 2017 to September 2021, I gained valuable experience as a Trainee Therapist, while managing the operations of a community garden at Action on Addiction, Part of Clouds house. During this time, I worked with individuals affected by addiction, focusing on their recovery. Growing food, supporting nature inspired wellness.

I have also received training in various areas, including Child Sexual Abuse: Hope for Healing, Dealing with Distress: Working with Suicide and Self-Harm, Working with Autism, and Advanced Safeguarding (Level 2).

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
