About me

If you're finding life difficult—whether you're struggling with overwhelming emotions, feeling stuck, or wanting to understand yourself more deeply—therapy can offer a meaningful space to be heard, supported, and gently guided.

I’m a humanistic psychotherapist with a BA (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy, studied through the University of Essex. My approach is person-centred and trauma-informed, with a strong foundation in psychological theory and a deep respect for each person’s unique lived experience. I'm also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and I adhere to their ethical framework to ensure safe, professional, and compassionate practice.

At the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens within a trusting, respectful therapeutic relationship. I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and patterns at your own pace. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, low self-esteem, addiction, relationship difficulties, or navigating neurodiversity (such as autism or ADHD), I will meet you with empathy and care.

My work is tailored to you—supporting you to develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and self-compassion. I offer 50-minute sessions via Zoom or telephone, providing a flexible and accessible way to engage in therapy from wherever feels most comfortable for you.

If you’re considering therapy or would like to talk more about how I work, I’d be happy to answer any questions you have. You’re welcome to get in touch when you feel ready.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified Person-Centred Therapist with a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy, awarded through the University of Essex. This BACP-accredited degree provided in-depth academic and clinical training in person-centred theory, trauma-informed practice, and ethical therapeutic work, equipping me to support adults with a wide range of psychological and emotional challenges.

As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I work to the highest standards of ethical and professional care. My training has given me a strong foundation in psychological theory, therapeutic process, and the relational dynamics that underpin meaningful change.

In addition to my degree, I have completed Levels One and Two in Counselling skills, Level Three Diploma in counselling and Psychotherapy which further strengthened my understanding of human behaviour, emotional development, and effective therapeutic engagement.

My clinical experience includes working one-to-one with clients through MIND, offering therapeutic support for those experiencing mental health difficulties. Prior to this, I spent four years as a Trainee Therapist as part of Clouds House, where I led a community-based therapeutic gardening project. This nature-based approach combined relational and nature-based approaches to support individuals in recovery, highlighting my integrative understanding of healing in its many forms.

I continue to deepen my professional knowledge through advanced training in areas such as Child Sexual Abuse: Hope for Healing, Working with Distress (Suicide and Self-Harm), Working with Autism, and Advanced Safeguarding (Level 2). These areas of ongoing study allow me to work competently and confidently with complex presentations and to hold a clear awareness of safety, risk, and protection within the therapeutic relationship.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
