About me

Overwhelming isn’t it?

First you realise you could do with the mental health support, and now you’re searching for a counsellor that you feel connected to, meets your values and understands you for who you are and what you’re going through... Right?

I hear you.

You’ve already done the hard part - recognising you need someone to talk to. You’ve clicked through a few people to find your match… That’s where I come in.

My experience working in the field of mental health dates back to 2017. Over half a decade of therapeutic development and practice has provided me the skills and experience I can offer you within our sessions together. Trauma, inner child work and the here and now (Gestalt therapy) are my areas of expertise, I have over 500 hours of clinical work with children, adults and older adults. I work from an integrative approach; this allows for the session to be unique to you. I recognise that one approach and method can feel like a narrow path for some,  so I bring a range of approaches alongside authenticity and transparency, which is what I value in my character and as a professional. There is no 'one size fits all' in therapy. I recognise each person as an individual, and aim to be fluid and responsive to that by combining therapeutic techniques to appreciate that we all respond and process differently.

You don't have to suffer in silence, your voice matters. Whether you're feeling alone, anxious or a little off balance, it only takes a phone call to find that support you need and deserve.

I appreciate the pressure and stress that comes with seeking help, so I aim to make it as smooth sailing as possible.

I offer a free 30 minute consultation for us to get to know one another and briefly talk about what is troubling you and what you're looking for in a therapist, as well as your sessions.

If you have any questions, drop me a message or email and let’s have a chat.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
