About me
I'm an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist, fully qualified to offer therapy to help with a range of emotional difficulties for teenagers, adults, families and couples. I have experience working with depression, anxiety and phobias, OCD, relationship problems and family issues, self-harm, addiction and addictive behaviours, trauma, anger management, low self-esteem, and stress.
My area of specialism is in neurodiversity, supporting neurodiverse people with ADHD, ADD, Dyslexia and Autism, and also their families and partners.
Using various modalities such as Human Givens, Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Couple Counselling and Trauma Focused Therapy, I aim to give you tailored therapy, and ideas, skills and techniques right from the first session, that enable you to start making a difference to your situation.
Are you experiencing awful feelings of panic, feeling anxious a lot of the time, or find yourself tearful a lot? Maybe you feel angry all day and it feels bad, or life appears very confusing and complicated and you are not sure what to do about it?
Together, we create a space to map out what is going on for you. I will help you find ways to deal with the particular difficulties you are facing now.
- I work in person or online.
- I offer sessions on a short or long-term basis.
I've had over 30 years professional experience working in many diverse roles including as a speech and language therapist within the NHS, and working as a learning and life skills coach for people with dyslexia, ADD and autism.
An initial phone conversation can help in understanding what you need and how counselling may help you move forwards in your life.
If you have any questions or are ready to take the next step, contact me by email or book a free initial callback here.
