About me
I am a fully qualified counsellor, Relate and Place2be trained, working with individuals, couples and teenagers.
I offer sessions either face to face, zoom , Skype or telephone, which ever way you feel would work best for you.
Along with being a counsellor I am also a Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychotherapeutic and Counselling Supervisor.
I offer Supervision to counsellors working with children, teenagers and adults.
I am aware of how daunting it may feel to embark on a journey of exploration and so I will ensure you have safe, confidential non judgement place from which to work on what ever you may be finding difficult with at this time.
We will all find ourselves, at some point in our lives, feeling overwhelmed, or unable to cope, whether that is due to something in the here and now or something from our past. I am very passionate about the work I do and feel it is of utmost importance to use the approaches I feel will suit each individual.
I work with individuals suffering depression, anxiety, addictions, eating disorders, sexual abuse, rape, incest, domestic violence, suicidal thoughts and bereavement, along with many other issues that have impacted their lives.
I work with couples who may have communication breakdowns, affairs, attachments issues, addictions, bereavement, cultural difficulties, age, intimacy, jealousy, insecurities or challenges that have caused a breakdown in their relationship. Sometimes couples want to work through endings and this is also a journey that can be done with the help of a third person.
I work with teenagers who are self harming, suffer anxiety, depression, bullying, have difficulties in forming or maintaining relationships, low self esteem, low self work, eating disorders, family issues, domestic violence, addictions and many other issues from today's society.
Whatever it might be that is impacting on the here and now either from something from your past or something in the present I will walk with you on your journey as you explore different ways to untangle and make sense of your thoughts and feelings, gaining a greater understanding of you or as a couple, working towards acceptance and confidence to have a happier, healthier life.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

When I work
I work early mornings from 7am through to 9pm Monday to Thursday and until 6pm Fridays. I work Saturdays upon request.
