About me

Hi, I am Juliet, a Counsellor & Bereavement Specialist helping adults and the over 16's to live a more content and fulfilled life through my experienced and gentle process of understanding, exploration and compassion.

Working comfortably and empathically with the necessary skills and tools, I support my clients through times of anxiety, stress, depression, self-harm, family discord & relationship difficulties. I also work with those who have experienced a bereavement, or another kind of loss such as the end of a relationship, a job/career, or the person they used to or yearn to be.

Maybe you struggle to talk about your troubles, feel lonely and confused, or carry some shame that your mental wellbeing is not as it "should" be according to the perceptions/expectations of others, or even yourself? Perhaps you are concerned about being a burden, or carry guilt.  For whatever reason you are really feeling in need of some support, help and genuine compassion.

You may have tried to get through things alone, or looked at self-help (books, social media etc). Maybe even meditation, exercise, eating well etc but things just aren't feeling any easier. I have been there, had my own struggles, had that yearning to wake up each morning feeling better and brighter, and more able to cope with life. I hear you and I can help you to achieve this!

Investing in counselling is investing in you and your future! Giving yourself the time, focus and attention that you deserve can make a difference to your life, to your mental, physical and emotional well-being.

Together we will seek to understand your troubles, find solutions & aim to ease your pain and worry - leading to a better and brighter way forward. You can find out more about how we can do this by looking at my website (see the button link at the top of this page).

I offer face to face therapy from a comfortable cabin within my own garden. If you feel comfortable with counselling from the security and comfort of your own home I can offer you this via Zoom or telephone. Or, perhaps you enjoy fresh air and the outdoors and would like to try counselling whilst walking and talking, or sitting quietly in a natural space? *

Please contact me so we can discuss your needs, hopes and expectations from counselling and see how we might be able to work together either long or short term, in a way that offers you comfort and reassurance. As a qualified therapist working to very high standards of professionalism and under the ethical guidelines of my governing bodies (the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society & the BACP), I work with your best interests as a priority.

Email or text me today to arrange a complimentary 15 minute telephone or zoom call where we can have an informal chat about your reasons for seeking counselling and see if I am the right therapist for you. Please note...Face to face work in the Maidstone area of Kent only.  Zoom and telephone UK wide.

I encourage you not to feel ashamed or alone. So many are struggling right now in one way or another. Taking the first step can often be the hardest, but the best thing you can do for your future happiness and well-being.

If you are a trainee therapist I wholeheartedly support you and your training journey.  Please feel free to contact me to discuss this further.

I very much look forward to hearing from you.

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
