About me

Have you ever thought, I don’t know who to talk to, where to turn or are you feeling confused? Is there an issue you would like to explore to find out your true thoughts and feelings surrounding it. You may be feeling vulnerable or may not know what is wrong.  At times life can be a struggle and feel muddled. If this sounds familiar, then counselling could help you to find answers to move forward in your life.

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor with extensive experience in working with clients who have suffered with low self-esteem, low mood, panic attacks, anxiety, bereavement, self-harm, relationship issues/family issues, and baby loss.

I combine different psychotherapies to best suit the client that I am working with. I treat everyone as an individual giving them my full care, attention, and support.

I offer a free initial telephone chat for 15 mins where we can be assured that we are comfortable with each other. This also gives you a chance to ask any questions you may have.

Working together we can look at what might be going on for you. I will do my best to understand the place that you are in and we will go at your own pace.

I will provide a space for you to talk which is confidential, safe, comfortable, and calm for us to work together. I am genuine and realistic in my approach. You will be treated with the utmost respect. You will be valued, listened to, and heard.

I will strive to understand your true feelings in a supportive, empathetic, and therapeutic manner with the aim to helping you move forward in a positive way. Hopefully, you can regain some strength to be able to cope better with what is going on within your life.

You will not be judged on whatever you bring to counselling.

I offer short and long-term therapy. I am able to offer face to face or telephone counselling. These sessions are 50 mins. I offer daytime and evening sessions. I can be flexible with my hours to suit my clients.

Some Saturday sessions are also available.

I undertake further training and I abide by the ethical framework of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. (BACP) to give my clients the best service I can, helping them to make the changes in their life.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
