About me
Thank you for visiting my page. I want to let you know that I work exclusively Online, which has all the benefits of in-person counselling.
I would like to give you the opportunity to try Online counselling, to enable you to make your own judgement to see if we can develop a connection and start building a professional relationship, and for you to understand, experience and believe in the counselling process.
Do you need support with anxiety, depression or wanting to stop being a people pleaser?
I believe that everyone can reinvent themselves, by having the right support, passion and an exploration into your values and beliefs, and discover different choices which can be made to enable you to be the person you deserve to be.
I have worked with a variety of clients, both female and male of different age groups, exploring different areas from anxiety, depression, addiction, loneliness and life-changing illness. I will work with you to find meaning and purpose in your current situation.
I have reinvested myself throughout my career life and always had an interest in what makes people tick, and how our individual world affects our present day, and I bring this outlook into the counselling session, by exploring what is important and present in your world.
I offer an online confidential space where we can explore your world, and go through your thoughts, feelings and emotions.
A space where you can un-know and relearn new healthy thoughts, habits and behaviours. A space where you can become aware of your patterns and find alternative ways to deal with challenges and the ups and downs of your world.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Humanistic Counsellor, registered with the BACP.
During my Counselling training, I worked with a Surrey based company supporting individuals who have been affected by drugs and alcohol, as well as running their support groups for Friends and family who have been affected by misuse of drugs and alcohol. I also trained at an organisation supporting young people from the age of 13 and up, dealing with their presenting issues. Finally, I trained with an organisation that supported mature individuals to help and support their struggles in later life.
I have had experience dealing with different presenting concerns including Anxiety, Depression, Eating habits, Loneliness, Attachment issues, Self-worth and confidence to name a few, both in the UK and international individuals.
My previous career was in Human Resources and gained the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development qualification.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
