About me

Hi! I'm Julia, an experienced Online Counsellor. Are you struggling with Anxiety, low moods, self-esteem. Counselling can help, by exploring your emotions, and thoughts to take back your control, and empowering you to become the person you truly want to be.

I understand that life is full of hidden challenges and unhealthy thought patterns. Working together we can explore your world to unravel these unwelcome thought patterns to find some new and rewarding.

Throughout my career, I've found fulfilment in helping clients through their internal struggles arising from their childhood, and early childhood trauma experiences that are being played out in their daily lives.

.

Have you ever struggled with any of these?

  • Guilt and regret
  • Finding purpose of the person you were to the person you deserve to be.
  • Loneliness with no understanding why?
  • Longing for something that you can't figure out.
  • Anxiety from daily life, work and family
  • Feeling down, and depressed but you don't know why?
  • Wanting to stop pleasing other people but you don't know how?
  • Do you need support with anxiety, depression or wanting to stop being a people pleaser?
  • Feeling scared, self-criticism, overthinking or wanting perfection.

How I can help?

I believe that everyone can reinvent themselves, by having the right support, passion, and an exploration into your inner world, into your values and beliefs, and discover the different possibilities, different choices and behaviours to enable you to be the person you deserve to be.

I have worked with a variety of clients, both female and male of different age groups, exploring different areas from anxiety, depression, addiction, loneliness, perfectionism, self-criticism, overtaking, belonging, and life-changing trauma.

It depends on you, and what you want to achieve, what you hope to achieve from counselling.

A little bit about me.

I have personally reinvested myself throughout my life and my career. I have experienced the thrills and challenges of living away from family and friends, the missed connection, lost opportunities, and lives struggles.

I am a Humanistic counsellor, with additional experience and training in Drugs and alcohol. I offer a compassionate, open and honest relationship, you will see me laugh with you, and cry with with you, and I will also challenge you, I am here to support you, to help you find a stronger sense of self, to untangle your thoughts, feelings, emotions and to find meaning.

What can counselling do?

It's hard to un-know and relearn new healthy thoughts, habits and behaviours. It's hard to find a space where you can become aware of your patterns and find alternative ways to deal with your challenges, your ups and downs of being in your world. Counselling and the right support can help.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
