About me
Book a FREE 20 min discovery call with me to see how I can help
Firstly Welcome. I am Jodun and I have worked with adults, children and young people struggling with their mental health since 2009. I have worked for the NHS, schools, mental health services, domestic violence charities and post adoption services. I have a specialism in attachment, early trauma, Highly Sensitive People, low mood and general anxiety. I have also worked with lots of Neurodivergent clients.
Where are You at Right Now?
Perhaps you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious or low in mood. There may have been a significant event that's been painful to process or maybe you don’t know why you feel the way you do. Trying to manage difficult thoughts and feelings alone can be challenging and it can affect the way you behave, relate or enjoy life. The good news is you are wanting change and looking for help.
How can I help?
I am a qualified and experienced Art Psychotherapy. My focus is helping clients to build awareness, lower shame, increase self compassion and build a more secure self through addressing injured parts and building a stronger internal secure self. I draw from other modalities such as; Inner Child Work, Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, and EFT and the PACE model. Together we work in partnership to consciously slow down, to listen to what you are feeling and discover together what you need.
Art Psychotherapy allows for thoughts and feelings to come to the surface, and be captured in a visual way that doesn’t rely on finding the right words. It does not require any skill or interest in art and can feel less intense than pure talking therapy. We can use themes to guide the therapy, if needed
You may be keen to try Art Psychotherapy or you may feel more comfortable just to talk. Whichever way we work we will find creative ways for exploring and analyse difficulties you are facing.
I will provide you with a safe, trusting and confidential space. Our relationship will give us an insight into your experiences within other relationships. We can then explore these in a safe way that you might not have been able to do before.
What could the benefits be?
- To not be alone in your pain and discomfort
- To gain a better understanding of yourself and your identity
- To have space and time to process and explore painful life events/relationships
- To improve your emotional identification and expression
- To have more control of your thoughts and feelings
- To feel more content and grounded in who you are and what you want
- To grow in confidence and self compassion
- To be able to change certain behaviours or ways of relating
What is the Therapy Process?
- We start with a free 20 mins chat to see if I’m right for you.
- We have a 50 min consultation and identify difficulties and goals.
- We book in weekly sessions at the same day and time.
- We reflect regularly to see how the therapy is going and if we are heading in the right direction.
- When you feel your goals are met then we work towards an ending.
What to do now?The first step to decide if you’d like to work together is to give me a call or an email. We will then arrange a free 20 mins chat before booking a consultation.
