About me

I am a fully qualified counsellor and a member of the BACP. I have over 12 years experience working with adults and young people.

If you are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, unhappy or feel like you need to talk to someone in a confidential, non judgmental space then I can help.

Searching for support is the start of the process and I am privileged to have been chosen to work alongside many clients. I can offer you the support to undergo your own journey,  together we can explore your thoughts and feelings, positive or negative! I believe we all have the potential to learn and grow, counselling can help facilitate this process.

I am a person centred counsellor, however, I use a variety of techniques to offer a tailored service to meet the needs of each individual. Counselling can magnify a number of emotions, you will find my approach to be supportive, non-judgemental and empathic. Sessions will be confidential and in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Counselling is for everyone no matter how large or small you perceive the problem. Gaining a better understanding and acceptance of yourself is truly a freeing experience which provides you with the insight to make positive changes in your life.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
