About me

I am a Clinical Psychologist with experience of working within mental health settings for over 12 years. I work with people with a range of difficulties and all ages, including children, adolescents, adults and older adults. I work collaboratively with clients to develop a shared understanding of their current difficulties and to support them to work towards their goals. I believe it is important to build a safe and trusting space where a person can feel able to express themselves without fear of judgement.

I draw upon a range of evidence-based therapy approaches, including Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

I am able to offer short term sessions, as well as longer-term interventions, depending on what your goals may be. Taking the first step to seek support and find the 'right fit' can feel daunting. I offer an initial 15 minute free, no-obligation phone call, to discuss any questions you may have so you can make an informed decision about pursuing therapy.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
