About me
I am a Clinical Psychologist with experience of working within mental health settings for over 12 years. I work with people with a range of difficulties and ages, including adolescents, adults and older adults. I work collaboratively with clients to develop a shared understanding of their current difficulties and to support them to work towards their goals. I believe it is important to build a safe and trusting space where a person can feel able to express themselves without fear of judgement.
I draw upon a range of evidence-based therapy approaches, including Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I am able to offer short term sessions, as well as longer-term interventions, depending on what your goals may be. Taking the first step to seek support and find the 'right fit' can feel daunting. I offer an initial 15 minute free, no-obligation phone call, to discuss any questions you may have so you can make an informed decision about pursuing therapy.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
