About me

Hi there, I'm Jenny, I have experience in helping clients with anxiety and trauma, coping with autoimmune diseases and the ways in which life and particularly our relationships can make us feel like we've been kicked in the guts at times.

While I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you, I offer my support to walk beside you. I bring empathy, compassion and a deep and abiding interest in understanding the unique story of your life, your soul.

I also bring a wide range of skills and techniques to support you to find your sense of self again, to remember what joy feels like and how to draw that nourishment into your heart. To heal, to grow, to evolve.

It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

My therapy room is on the ground floor of a Devon Cottage in one of the villages north of Crediton. It is quiet and peaceful. There is a parking space kept for clients so you can drive straight in off the road.

I work on line with clients from across the UK.

I include animal assisted therapy into my practice, Horse Facilitated Learning is a particularly powerful model of healing enabling the client to experience a depth of unconditional regard that goes far beyond the human level. I cannot over estimate how powerful that experience can be -  life-changing is how I have experienced it and so have many of my clients - If you wish to know more, do contact me.

I also have two golden retrievers and a mini JR Terrier who love to connect with clients and offer them their gentle generous support and loving presence if invited in.
