About me

You may be feeling anxious or depressed. You may have family problems or have low self esteem. You may be feeling stuck, just surviving rather than living life or have a sense that you are following the wrong path.

Perhaps you need to talk to someone in order to work it all out. Someone who will give you their full attention without judgement in a safe, confidential space.

How I can help

Most people come to counselling because they want to change something about themselves or their lives. However, you can only change things after you first understand who you truly are and how you really feel.

Without that awareness, it's tempting to fit yourself into a mould of how you think you "should" be.  That mould that is often shaped by the expectations of your family and friends, rather than what you really want out of life .

I will help you to understand yourself and what you really want. This will help you to see a clear path forward, rather than being bound by what should be or could have been.

We could do this through dialogue but silence is also fine, as is drawing, writing, making or moving. Whatever is most helpful to you in helping you understand who you are and the next steps you want to take.

The Next Step

If I sound like someone you would like to speak to then just pick up the phone, send me a text or an email and arrange a confidential, no commitment, online or 'phone  meeting with me.  I will try and respond to your inquiry within 24 hours, Monday to Friday.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
