About me

Holly has a trauma focused approach underpinning her work as she believes that emotional and physical trauma can be stuck within the body and the mind, causing symptoms such as anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, which stem from unprocessed challenging life experiences which need to be explored and released.

Holly is an Integrative Counsellor who is trained in a variety of approaches which combine techniques for symptom reduction, alongside skills that help you look at what is happening in your world, work, mind, body, spirit.

Whether you need to explore your childhood, your current situation or are generally struggling with day-to-day life or want to stop destructive behaviours, then she provides a safe space and a therapeutic relationship to guide you through to finding a resolution.

Sometimes we can’t put our finger on exactly what is wrong, we just know we feel out of balance, lost, or just unsure. Below are some of the areas I can help with, the list is not exhaustive, so if you feel something isn’t covered please get in touch so we can talk about the best way to help you:

- Trauma
- Stress
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Lack of Confidence
- Unhelpful Habits
- Relationship Issues
- Bereavement
- Lack of Meaning
- Finding Purpose

Get Started

To organise an initial session with me, please do contact me on 07719 996043 or via email

I offer a 15 minutes free call, to talk about how therapy could help you. In your first session we will talk about what counselling is and how is can help you. I will listen to you and find out about any troubles you have and we will decide if this is the best course of action for you. If my therapy seems a good fit we will discuss the frequency of sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a BA(Hons) in Integrative Counselling and 2 years of experiencing empowering clients in the counselling room, while working at The Turner Centre in Colchester.

Many years of personal experience with burnout, depression and anxiety, which gives me insight to the trials facing my clients.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
