About me
You’ve been holding everything together, but it’s starting to feel too much.
Perhaps you wake with a heavy feeling in your chest, already tired before the day begins. You might be trying to meet everyone’s expectations while your own needs stay quietly in the background. Maybe you feel distant in your relationship, unseen by your partner, or no longer like yourself.
In friendship, you may find it hard to say no, feel taken for granted, or struggle to connect. Family dynamics might feel tense, boundaries ignored, guilt ever-present, or the sense that you can’t fully be yourself. You may have grown up around toxic or narcissistic patterns, and you’re tired of repeating them.
You’ve tried to keep going, reminding yourself that others have it worse. But something in you knows this isn’t how life is meant to feel.
You don’t have to carry it all on your own.
When Life Feels Overwhelming
You might be here because of relationship difficulties, trauma, childhood trauma, burnout, chronic stress, grief, anxiety, low self-worth, gynaecological conditions, or a deep sense of disconnection.
Perhaps you're struggling with the effects of a difficult relationship, family conflict, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, or the lasting impact of narcissistic abuse. You may feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, despite your best efforts to move forward.
Whatever has brought you here, your mind and body have been doing their best to protect you. Therapy can help you understand what's happening beneath the surface and create lasting change.
Therapy With Me
I'm Holly, a Relationship and Trauma Therapist and EMDR Therapist. I specialise in helping adults recover from trauma, navigate relationship difficulties, rebuild self-worth, and create healthier connections with themselves and others.
My approach is compassionate, structured, and grounded. I draw on relational therapy, mindfulness, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) to help clients process difficult experiences, reduce emotional distress, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.
EMDR can be particularly effective for trauma, childhood experiences, difficult relationships, grief, and other distressing events that continue to affect how you feel, think, and respond in the present. It can help the brain process experiences that may feel unresolved, allowing you to feel less overwhelmed by the past and more connected to your life now.
Together, we can work to:
• Understand emotional patterns and triggers
• Heal the impact of trauma and difficult life experiences
• Recover from narcissistic or emotionally unhealthy relationships
• Strengthen boundaries and communication
• Reduce anxiety, overwhelm, and chronic stress
• Rebuild confidence, self-worth, and self-trust
• Improve relationship satisfaction and emotional connection
• Process distressing memories using EMDR where appropriate
Our sessions move at your pace, in a calm, supportive, and collaborative space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
