About me

Have you wanted to address your problems for a while but felt unsure about taking that first step? I will work with you at your own pace, creating a safe and confidential environment in which we can work through the issues you are facing.

I started on my journey of Hypnotherapy and Therapeutic Counseling 12 years ago, searching for something missing from my life. As a child and to early adulthood my life seemed a long road of disappointments from negative experiences but coming though the other side.

I wanted to share my experiences in helping others to move forward in positive directions and exchanging energies from negative to positive and diminishing stress away from our lives in a healthy effective way.

Getting to the root of the cause to treat the symptoms in a non-threatening way rather than masking and treating with unhealthy coping mechanisms.

I work with boundaries and ethics by using core skills:

  • confidentiality
  • congruence
  • non-judgmental
  • listening skills

Theories used: person centered - psychodynamic - CBT

I am able to work effectively with clients in a holistic way to enable them to help make the changes they require in their lives. I work with different therapies to assist clients to understand and move more rapidly towards greater growth and self-empowerment.

Please contact me by email to arrange a consultation by phone or online to see if you are happy to work together. If you would like to continue, we can discuss counselling sessions to suit your availability.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

I've been a Reiki therapist for 10 years, this helps with rebalance, escapism. Reiki is channeled through the hands, which can get hot during treatment according to the client’s needs. It is totally non-evasive, so can be done fully clothed.

NADA 5 POINT Auricular Acupuncture, I have been Nada Practitioner since 2013. People use auricular acupuncture to tackle a range of health concerns, including: chronic pain, especially low back pain. Migraine, anxiety. The process involves the gentle insertion of up to five fine, single use, sterilised, stainless steel disposable needles into specific energetic points in the outer ear. No electrical stimulation.

The five ear points:

(1) Sympathetic – calms the nervous system and helps with overall relaxation.
(2) Shen Men / “Spirit Gate” – reduces anxiety and nervousness.
(3) Kidney Point – for calming fears and healing internal organs.
(4) Liver Point – for detoxification, blood purification, and to quell aggression.
(5) Lung Point – promotes aeration and helps clients let go of grief.

The outer ear acts like a switchboard that sends impulses to the brain, which stimulate the release of endorphins, lowers stress and induces relaxation.
